Dinosaur Duo

The highlight of the Halloween season always seems to be the ward party. I love that we are assured at least that one way to celebrate Halloween. This year the girls dressed up as dinosaurs (costumes courtesy of my sister Rosie!). Jolie ended the evening as a pumpkin, but it was fun to have them match for a little while. I was a pirate (also in a borrowed costume!), and Eric was either Mr. Green from "Clue," the Green Giant without a skirt, or an OSU student only on St. Patrick's Day. :) Here are some shots of us when we arrived at the Church.

Our Activities Committee had a driving scavenger hunt awaiting the adults, along with games for the older kids and a nusery so you could drop off your kids while you did the scavenger hunt with another couple. It was not what I was expecting at all, but we did drop off the kids in the nursery, and took off with the McArthurs. Here are some shots of what we needed to find on our hunt: our group jumping in the air

someone holding hands with a skeleton

and someone hugging a scarecrow.

We had fun taking photos of Jolie in the same pumpkin outfit Mierae wore at the same age. Jolie is so much fun!

And just for fun, here are some shots of Mierae from 2005 in the same pumpkin outfit. She was two months younger than Jolie is now, but do you think they look like each other?

While every other ward I hear about has a trunk-or-treat, our ward has an indoor trick-or-treating tradition at the Church knocking on classroom doors. It was Mierae's first time getting to knock on doors all by herself. She never got the words "trick-or-treat" out, but she loved getting the candy on the other side of her knock!

Here she and some nursery friends Owen and Risa enjoy their spoils!

Now I think it's going to take a month or two to finish off all the candy in our apartment!!
