A Day at the Zoo

We have been contemplating getting a zoo pass for several months now. Isn't it supposed to be the ultimate activity for kids? Mierae does love it when we go, it just seems so far away from us that we wouldn't go really often. We had a zoo day for a midweek activity that I knew we'd go to even if we didn't have passes. We can still get half-off tickets through OSU or go on Wednesdays when it's half-off for Franklin County residents. Well, we REALLY lucked out the day we went. Kroger just happened to be having a week-long deal at the zoo for $1.80 a ticket to celebrate 90 years of the zoo and 90 years of Kroger. WOW. We only wish we could've gone more than once that week! We met up with some friends, so it was great for the kids to be able to play together and enjoy the time even more. Here are some fun photos from our trip.

The first thing we saw was the elephants. There was a baby, but he happened to be inside when we stopped by.

Here's Tyler Peterson, Ethan Roberts and Ellie Orton with Mierae looking at the tiger.

Here Mierae is riding a warthog. :)

Jolie was a great sport through the whole thing, despite Mierae hitting her when she was trying to sleep in the stroller! She will grow out of that, right!?
