Favorite Photos from Utah Trip

Here are some favorite photos from our trip to Utah that took up most of September! Our families have probably seen most of these, but I don't think we've shared them anyone else. My first weekend into the trip, I went with some Hill family members to Texas for my cousin Ashley's wedding. There is so much to say about her sealing because Elder Holland was the one who sealed her and her husband. I learned so much sitting there in that quiet and beautiful San Antonio temple sealing room. Everything in the gospel is really about Jesus Christ, and every symbol in the temple is really about Him. It was wonderful being with family for two short days to focus on just the happy occasion of a temple wedding. Here's a four generation shot we took outside the temple with my Grandma Hill, my mom, me and Jolie.

One of the highlights of the trip for Mierae was getting to tour the bakery where Grandpa Hendriksen was working. She loved seeing all the yummy treats Grandpa baked up everyday, and, especially, getting to eat one of her own! Aunt Rosie and cousin Julia joined us and Grandma on the tour. Since it was right before Julia went to Kindergarten, it felt like a field trip. :)

Mierae was able to get better acquainted with her grandparents and cousins on this trip. Here is Mierae getting along famously with her Grandma and then Grandpa Taylor.

Mierae also had a blast with her cousins. We spent a couple afternoons at Christine's (Eric's sister), and Mierae had so much fun being on a big trampoline. Here she is with Lucy and Emma.

When we went down to Fremont to visit Grandpa Taylor, Mierae just had to jump on his trampoline too.

Here are some shots from our trip to Fremont when we went to Capitol Reef. Mierae loved picking apples from the orchards right there in the National Park.

She also had lots of fun with Madison when we stayed with Grandma Taylor. Madison played with her when he got home from school, and she loved the one-on-one attention!

And here's Maddie with Jolie:

It was so fun getting to go to the canyon while we were in Utah. We've been missing the mountains so much, and Fall was the perfect time to go up and enjoy the beautiful weather! Here are some shots at our Hendriksen BBQ in Canyon Glen.

And it was the first time we'd seen Mellie since she got home from her mission! She read some stories to Ethan, Julia and Mierae when it was too dark to play.

The night before we left was Ashley's reception. It was great to be together in Sandy and just visit and enjoy the evening with everyone before we flew home.

On the flight home, we checked 8 bags and a car seat! What a mountain of luggage!

And it was so nice having Eric with us on the flight home. I think Mierae got into the portable DVD player better on the flight home!

When we got home, Eric got out the spoils from his field trip. Doesn't Mierae look so cute in this Bar Harbor shirt from Maine?

We had such a great time on our trip! We love you, family! Thanks for everything!
