We spent the day in Columbus so we could go to the temple. That's what he wanted for his birthday.
We had a good day. We got to stop at Costco; we played with cousins; and I got to see my sister's new house for the first time. But the best part was driving home when all of the kids fell asleep. Instead of hearing all the screaming, punching, and kicking from the backseat, we talked about Eric's job, about houses, about trips, and about the past year and all of the changes we've had. It was the most time we've actually spent together in weeks. :)
I'm thankful for birthdays. They are an opportunity to celebrate life.
