I really don't like goal-setting. Or at least I never used to. I hated it when I was a teenager. I had friends who loved to set goals and mark their progress. But I just never had any desire to do it. I think it was because of one word: laziness! But now being a mother and actually having the desire to improve my parenting, improve myself, and make sure I'm trying to make the most of the time I have, I am embracing goal-setting.
I only have two goals that I thought of for the whole year. I'm sure more will come as I begin new months and try to finish half-done projects. But so far, these are my measurable, achievable goals for the year:
1. Read the Book of Mormon every day
2. Spend 1-on-1 time with each child every day
I haven't been perfect so far, but I'm trying. At the most important thing is that it's on my mind each day, and in my self-evaluation time at night. I'm hoping that just these two things will make a big difference in myself, in my kids, and in my home this year.

I know it will make a world of difference! What great goals.
What cute kids!
Hey, your goals sound a lot like mine!! I hope we can both do better at them then last year!!! Good luck.
i especially love the second goal-- but my goals for the year are already on the verge of being too many, so maybe i'll steal your idea for next year!
