Ten Months

...and he looks all grown up! My baby is turning into a little boy. (sniff)

This last month Henrik has started getting into everything. He started pulling to stand right after his doctor's appointment last month and will now stand up and cry in his pack-n-play when he's supposed to be going to sleep. He's learning how to climb stairs, and he pushes doors open and closed. Twice this month he's grabbed food from the table and spilled it ALL over the kitchen.

He's also gotten hurt a lot more, but not all due to his increased mobility. There were three days in a row when he got hurt: gouged the top of his mouth with a pointy-capped pen, fell out of the van (being stopped by my legs and not hitting the ground, thank goodness) for which he got a small goose egg on his forehead, then he scraped the side of his face on a corner of a picture frame and then got hot oil splattered on his head. This poor boy! It was almost like the days before family pictures. (Two days before our photo shoot, little-big sister grabbed him and fell backward, plunging the side of his head into a door frame. Then then next day big-big sister tried to get him out of the van herself while I was chatting with a neighbor, and she dropped him and his face got scraped on the inner sliding door.) Thank goodness these little ones are so resilient!

Henrik got two more teeth on top, and they haven't helped him sleep any better! We're slowly trying to figure out his body clock and the reasons he cries at night. He's been drinking more bottles, which he loves, and I'm fine to have stopped pumping. :) It'll be a whirlwind before his 1st birthday at this busy time of year. We're just trying to enjoy it all.
