As of six-months old (almost seven), Jolie started sitting up on her own. It's so fun to watch babies when they're learning how to do this. They seem to sway from one side to the other and you hold your breath while counting how many seconds they can sit up before falling backward. Jolie is a pro now, and it's the best to watch her smile as she flaps her arms and pats her legs as she sits.
Jolie's two bottom teeth came in at the same time, and now she really has fun chewing on things! It still surprises me sometimes when she is gnawing on my finger and I get a bite!
Jolie is still nursing, and even wakes up every three hours still at night to eat. At least she goes right back to sleep (except for two nights this week...) One of the funniest things she does while nursing is try to pinch off the moles on my arms when I'm wearing short sleeves. At first I thought she was just pinching me, but then I realized she was trying to get the little brown spots that were stuck to my arm. :)
Jolie is crawling too. At first when we put her on her tummy, she got really good at propping herself up on her side. It's so funny to look over at her just hanging out on her side! After she mastered lying on her side, she started doing the army crawl because she couldn't quite get her knees bent to actually crawl. But, now she's on hands and knees all the time and going for what she wants.

As with most other babies at this age, Jolie cries whenever I leave the room. But, she also cries whenever she sees me! If I've been gone, like teaching flute lessons or when Eric and I go out, when we get back and she sees me, she always starts crying. I have to play peek-a-boo with her before I leave sometimes, so she sees me gradually leaving. Or I have to take off when she's occupied with something else.
Jolie is obsessed with paper. She loves to eat magazines, newspapers, booklets, anything she can grab, tear, and stick in her mouth. And she cries when I take it away.
When Jolie was really little she would cuddle, and I loved it! But, she is NOT a cuddly baby now. Even when she IS asleep, she won't lay her head down on my shoulder. At night we have to hold her facing outward to soothe her. The only time she actually snuggles into me is when she's wiping her nose on my shirt. :)
Jolie rolls all over when I'm trying to change her diaper. I have to make sure she has something to play with or look at or she will NOT lie still.
One thing Jolie is GREAT at is falling asleep in the car. It's nice to know when we go for a ride, she won't scream because she has to sit in her carseat. And even through all the jostling when we take her inside from a car ride, she still stays asleep, and can even transfer to her crib (if Eric does it!).
Jolie is such a joy in our home. I love seeing Mierae and Jolie interact and look forward to the time when they will be running around together, playing together, and even getting into trouble together. It is so true that your children are your jewels.

What cute pictures of Jolie!
This is such a good idea! To spotlight your kids individually! I think I'll do that, too! You're an inspiration!!! :) Can't wait to see you in a week!!! :)
Those pictures are so cute! She is getting so big. It's really funny, what you said about how Jolie will be sad when you leave, but also when you come back. We actually just talked about why kids do that in psychology. :)
