265/365
It's days like these that I am grateful for our AAA membership! I took the boys down to a farm to pick up bulk apples and pumpkins, and when we were all loaded up and buckled, the van wouldn't start. I called AAA and one guy came out to check the battery. It wasn't the battery...it was the starter. So another guy came in a tow truck and took us to the closest shop. Henrik and Ollie loved riding in the back seat of the tow truck! Henrik kept asking questions and more questions. The driver was super nice and just smiled every time Henrik asked something new. I got a little tired of answering questions, though! We got to the shop and I ended up having to change one boy's dirty underwear and another boy's dirty diaper in the shop bathroom! Then we packed up the double stroller in search of a place to eat on a busy street with no sidewalks! I was trying to call and text and make arrangements for the girls, cancel/reschedule flute students, and keep in touch with Eric before and after his classes. I got the chance to catch up with my mom too--the perfect person to talk to in the middle of a crisis! My neighbor totally saved me and took Mierae home with them from the bus stop and then picked up Jolie from her art class. I am so lucky to have good friends who live close and are so willing to help out! The van was done within a couple of hours, and we were able to get home safe and sound.
