212/365

We went back to the zoo today but brought friends along with us. The boys had a lot of fun being with their friends.

We had a scare half-way into our visit when all the kids were playing together by the train and play houses and all of a sudden, I couldn't find Oliver! I ran down the hill in a panic while my friend Emily ran the other direction. Moms all around saw the panic on my face and asked immediately what Ollie looked like and what he was wearing. I ran into a worker a little farther down the hill and gave her his description as well. I came back up to the group to see if he had turned up, but he hadn't. As the minutes passed I got really worried. Then, the worker I had seen down the hill came toward me carrying Ollie, asking if he was mine. I already had tears in my eyes, and I grabbed him and hugged him and thanked her over and over. Ollie was happy as could be and had no idea he had been lost. I am so glad he was found quickly! My friend Christina gave me a big hug after Ollie was safely buckled into the stroller...she imagined how I felt! Hope I never have to experience losing a child again.

Eric and I also finally got to go out for our anniversary. We got a baby-sitter (for real!) and had a nice dinner out. 11 years!

(Also, I love your earrings).
