Today the girls looked through this entire blog--the ENTIRE blog!! It took them hours, and I was occupied and didn't stop them. But they were thoroughly entertained by the photos, videos, and stories from when they were very little, up to this summer.
Since I know how important and fun it is for the kids to see photos of themselves, and I know how much I want to record everything I can, I will stop slacking off and write an update.
This is the reason I've been so busy lately!
I've been searching craigslist for furniture, trying to plan themes and decor for all the rooms, deciding where to put art and photos, and choosing paint colors. I'll post some photos soon!
Our summer weather has been wonderfully mild so far. We loved playing outside at our rental house, and we are loving our new backyard too.
But the highlight of our summer so far was Mierae's baptism.
We did a photo shoot the week before, and shared it with her friend who was getting baptized at the same time.
My parents came out for the occasion, my sister's family drove up for it, and our good friends were sure to make it as well. It was a very special day. The baptism was simple and beautiful. The gathering afterward at our new home was fun and relaxing. But the best part of the day was watching Mierae come out of the baptismal font, seeing her smile, and hearing her say, "Mom, I feel happy!"
We can't believe we only have two more weeks of summer left! We are hoping to squeeze in a few more fun things before the girls are gone all day again. It's sure been a summer to remember.

I can't believe Mierae is 8! She looks so grown up! So does Jolie, actually, with her adorable new hair cut! That is awesome that the Younkins drove up for the baptism!
Glad you updated!
