We were so happy to see the weather report for beautiful spring temperatures when our company was going to be in town for graduation. We were outside after school everyday, at different parks, and exploring the city. We visited Carriage Place Park, Battelle Riverfront Storybook Park downtown, Sunny 95 Park, and Scioto Park. We also took Eric's mom to COSI and enjoyed exploring with her.
One afternoon after school, Mierae learned to ride a bike without training wheels! And she was found on her bike every spare minute, before school, after school, waiting for the rest of us to load up for an outing, etc.
On St. Patrick's Day after playing at the park we made a stop at Burger King for free fries and green ketchup. It was a hit!
Sunday night, just after getting home from graduation, a huge rainstorm hit. The tornado sirens were going off, the rain come down in torrents, and the front of our apartment flooded. The girls really wanted to make a Thunder Cake that night, but we were all wiped out from graduation, and I wasn't up to putting forth the effort that night. So Grandma obliged Mierae on Monday night, and a Thunder Cake was enjoyed by all.
As always, Grandparents came bearing gifts: my parents brought books from Great Grandma Hill, among which was an animal book the girls have loved. And Eric's mom brought me a handmade bead necklace as a belated birthday gift. We loved having our visitors!

what an 'adventurous' visit! SO exciting for Mierae to be riding without training wheels! What a grown up girl!

Holy cow, Mierae is so tall!
I went to Burger King for free fries on St. Patrick's Day, too! They were all out of green ketchup, though...
