Christmas Day I participated in several musical numbers at Church. I got really nervous before my flute solo, which I guess isn't too surprising considering I haven't performed in a while, but it went well. I also sang in a duet, and that was what I was worried about. I had just gotten sick (and I still haven't recovered!) and had a cough. I kept drinking water and sucked on a cough drop right before I sang, and it went okay. Then I got to play the piano for the choir at the end. It was neat to have lots of music in the meeting, and it is always special to have church on Christmas Day.
My Christmas gift this year is something I had wanted since last year. I saw it on sale, but the regular price was so high, I couldn't justify it at even 50% off. But the next week, it was on sale for even cheaper, plus I had a coupon to use with it. So for 65% off, I got a present for me, from Eric. Thanks, honey! I love my sherpa-lined cable knit throw. :)
As I continue to battle this horrible head cold, I am just grateful for all of Eric's help, especially this last week. It's been so wonderful having him around. And we have really enjoyed spending time with friends. We had dinner with the Howells, a playday including dinner with the Younkins, went swimming with the Nelsons, and the girls had several playdates with friends.
