It was pretty exciting having his 1st birthday. We had a busy weekend with our Christmas party at Church, so we decided to celebrate on Sunday night when things had slowed down a bit. My sister and her family came over to help celebrate, which was a lot of fun. What's a party without cousins!?
And here's our little drummer boy:
I actually made him his very own smash cake, something I didn't do for the girls, even though their cakes had parts they could call their own. He had no hesitation; he knew just what to do with it!
I loved watching his reactions to his birthday gifts.
He's looking so grown-up, and it's been fun to watch. He has been taking steps here and there, mostly coming to Daddy. And it's been just as exciting as if he was our first. We sure love this little guy!

Oh, he's just the cutest!! It's amazing how time just flies by. I can't believe it's been a year. In 4 short months my babies will be doing the exact same thing and that's just plain crazy if you ask me!! I'm glad he dug right into his cake. I love it when babies know just what to do... Taking his first steps too? Wow!! What a fun time you guys must be having.
