Good News

Here are a few of the things that made me happy this week:

Mierae was so excited about her new Primary class that after I picked her up she said she wanted to go right back and have Primary again! Then she said she wished every day was Sunday. (A HUGE breakthrough--for the last year she has complained from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning that she hates Sundays and refuses to go to Church.)

Both of our neighbors have moved out (it happened around the holidays).  It is so nice not having to worry about bothering anyone with our noise!  And it's also nice not hearing them either. :)  I'm sure we won't have the good fortune of being neighbor-less until we move in the summer.  But we're enjoying it while we can.

I began my new calling as Relief Society pianist last Sunday. As I was playing prelude music and feeling a little rusty, I also felt peace.  The thought came that what I'm doing is important, and it's such a part of who I am.  I'm glad to have this calling right now.  And Eric is enjoying taking Henrik for the third hour of Church.

I had my postpartum check-up this week.  When I got on the scale, I couldn't believe it: I'm back down to the weight I was AFTER I lost weight in my first trimester!  Wahoo!  That made me very happy.  And I love my doctor.  I'm going to miss her.

The other day when Eric was warming up some food for the girls while they watched a show, I heard Jolie call down the stairs to Eric, "Dad, did you add hot-ness?"  That girl has made me smile and laugh a lot when we've been home together.  I love the way she always says, "Okay, bye-bye.  I love you!" whenever she pretends to talk on the phone, because that is what we've taught her to say to her grandparents.  I love how she calls me "m' dear" or "sweetheart" when we're playing "sisters."  I love how she can pretend anything is her "baby," including a rolled up blanket or a rice bag.  And I love how she gives me kisses and says she loves me.

Is there any wonder my doctor told me I had the lowest score she'd ever seen for a postpartum depression quiz?

There is a lot to smile about.

Awww, so cute! And yay for the small things that really make a difference!
And can I say that I'm so jealous that you lost weight so quickly?! I still have a ways to go before I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight. Maybe if I could work out without Chase getting in the way it might help! (I accidentally stepped on him while doing Taebo last week. I think I'll have to figure something else out!)
