We are now a family of five. And we're all loving it!
Henrik came on Thursday afternoon (December 2nd)--hooray for planned inductions! The labor and delivery went well. This little boy was definitely my biggest baby: 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. He came pink and plump with blond hair. So far recovery seems to be the easiest of the three (as long as I take it easy), and he's eating like a champ.
Here is when the girls met their brother. Can you tell how much they adore him?
They came by the next night to see us again.
And when we finally made it home, the girls couldn't have been happier about it.

but we are so in love with Henri. We have waited so long for him to come and are just enamored by him. We can't wait to watch this little boy grow up.
In the summertime when our neighbor found out we were expecting, she talked about when her son was born and she and his dad would just lie down and stare at him for hours. Even though I was a mom twice over, for some reason I couldn't imagine doing that. But this time around, I know exactly what she means. I love to just sit and cuddle with Henrik, feel his soft skin, and enjoy the warmth of being so close. I love to watch him sleep, then see him try to open his eyes and respond to my voice. It is so special having a baby boy just before Christmas.
Our family is definitely experiencing the joy of the season.

I know what you mean about the cuddling and staring. I felt the same way. I loved my first three kids, but for some reason I enjoyed (and am enjoying)Peter as a baby so much more. Maybe it's because he's the last? Don't know. But whatever the reason, it's so special!

COngrats. We were wondering when he would get here. We are so happy for you. We were looking at your blog and Nash said "jolee"(more like jojee). We will have to drop by and met him and let our kids play together during christmas break. Looks like things are going well. I hope you are getting enough sleep. Deva says hi to your girls.
He could not be more beautiful! Actually, I think everyone in your family got more beautiful with this new addition. It is obvious you are all in love! Wow - I can't believe he was over 8 pounds! Isn't that like 3 more pounds than Jolie? He still looks so tiny. I'll get a hold of you in a few weeks and figure out a time to come by. Congrats!!!!

I felt the same way with John. I stared, cuddled and was in love the second he came out. I'm so glad you are feeling well. A HUGE CONGRATS from our family to yours!!

He is so cute! I'm so excited for you guys! How fun! Daphne got really excited seeing pictures of him. I can't wait till we can meet him in person! hooray, hooray! He looks adorable and healthy! M and J are clearly in love! We can't wait to come over and meet him, but we're finally getting over colds. and I wouldn't risk it. We'll drop by when I'm confident we're completely over it!

Congrats you guys!! He is so adorable. He weighed almost as much as our little guy that arrived almost five months ago now. Ethan weighed 8lbs. 9 oz. He was a big boy and still is. It's amazing how time flies, especially with 3! I hope you guys are enjoying it, it sounds like you are. I cuddle Ethan as well all the time because he loves it so much and my other two didn't so he has been a lot of fun! You will love having a little boy but beware they are crazy and get into everything unlike girls!! We hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!
