Oh, What Do You Do On A Snow Day?

Today was another snow day--the third blizzard in less than two weeks. With even OSU canceling classes, Eric was trying to work from home and the girls were begging to be entertained. After watching PBS Kids online, spinning in the computer chair, having snacks, riding bikes inside, jumping on the furniture, playing the guess-that-animal game (again) and waiting to make sugar cookies, Mom got a little more creative:

Whenever the kids get the chance to get their picture taken, or be on a video, it's pure entertainment (well, most of the time!). After all the "good" posing, they then had to show their true colors:

And they got in some great dancing time, followed by watching the videos of that great dancing time. :)

Now we just need some hot chocolate and snuggle time under a big, poofy blanket.

What do you do on snow days?

GREAT idea! I feel like I read the same book to Gwen over and over and over, she eats way more junk food than I usually allow, gets way more movie time, and is still WAY more whiney.

Her favorite thing to do over and over and over today was to crawl up the stairs, pull herself up into my rocking chair to read a book, get bored and carry the book down stairs on her tummy (her latest skill), deposit the book in the growing mess downstairs, then climb the stairs back to her room to repeat the entire ordeal.

Do people say the Mierae looks more like you and Jolie looks more like Eric? That's what I think from the pictures. We usually end up watching movies when it snows.

I was thinking about how we need to get together and why we hadn't seen each other in so long. Then I remember the blasted weather. We should go to princess and the frog it's in the dollar theatre.

I love how Mierae can go cross eyed! That is the cutest picture and needs to be blown up for their room. They have such sweet faces and such cute personalities. What a great idea.

ya, we are just amazed that it even snows in Texas so we just look out the window a lot on snow days and then wait for daddy to come home to go and play in it.
You are so creative!!

CUTE pictures!!!

I think you're getting more snow this winter than we are. We've had spring-like weather for the past few weeks and I am loving it! If only it would last. But I'm sure winter can't be over for us quite yet...

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Your girls are as cute as ever....and looking older! Let us know next time you're in Utah. It'd be fun for you to come see the shop. xo

So cute!! I love their matching dresses! How fun to do a photo shoot with them! I'll have to remember that idea when Daphne gets a little older...

I just love that your girls will let you take pictures of them and they will smile without a problem! Most kids won't do that! :) That's awesome Bobby!! Your girls are so adorable and getting so big! I can't wait to see you all in the Summer!! :)

I can't believe you took those pictures! They turned out so great! In answer to your question... every day is a snow day here (or at least it's supposed to be but it's been quite "mild" this winter), and basically you just do whatever you usually would do! Seriously, there are so many pedestrians and people walking their dogs and exercising outside when there's 3 feet of snow and a storm going on! I see mothers with children in strollers when it's like 10 degrees "oot"!
