We were going to host Thanksgiving at our house this year, but I'm thankful that things worked out differently for my sister's family and us to go to our cousin's house in Michigan instead.
I'm thankful that my cousin moved to Michigan, just when I found out my sister is moving from Cincinnati back to Utah in a few weeks! At least we'll still have some family pretty close.
I'm thankful that we had fun Christmas music to listen to on our drive, fun little towns to look at as we passed through, and that the kids slept or watched movies, making the drive easy.
I'm thankful that my cousin's house was big enough for all the kids to have plenty of space to run and play. There's nothing better than getting together with cousins for a holiday!
I'm thankful that kids eat fast and leave so the adults can talk and finally sit down to enjoy their meal!
I'm thankful for traditions (especially when they involve food-- like sausage stuffing and chocolate pecan pie) and trying someone else's traditions (like cranberry fluff)!
I'm thankful that my brother-in-law happened to have some Zyrtec that he gave me so I could breathe as I ate.
I'm thankful that the kids really enjoyed our Disney Scene It game and played it together a few times.
I'm thankful for little girls!
I'm thankful for Family Fun magazine's fun holiday crafts, and for the fun time it is for the kids to put edible crafts together!
I'm thankful that the kids went to bed relatively well so that the adults could stay up talking and watch "Elf." :)
I'm thankful for a husband who always gets up with the kids and is patient with his not-a-morning-person wife.
I'm thankful that there was an IKEA close to my cousin's house since we weren't having Thanksgiving in Cincinnati where the closest IKEA is to us. A happy surprise! And I'm thankful that IKEA has lowered prices on things we needed to buy that day!
Most of all, I am thankful for a happy family.

I love looking at your pictures! They are always so fun!
I'm so glad you guys were all able to get together. And it looks like all the kids had a great time!
That food looked fabulous!!
I too love ideas for family fun recipes and crafts. That's where I found out about the pilgrim hats I made. Your girls are such cuties. How much longer are you planning on staying in Ohio? I'm glad you have your cousin close by to celebrate with.
I hope your Christmas is just as wonderful. Any big plans?
I am thankful that you figured out that we didn't live too far away from each other and invited us for Thanksgiving. I am also thankful you didn't mind driving all of the way to Michigan, to a torn up house to help make us feel like we really are at home here. It was fun!! Thanks for coming. Now, if I can talk you into returning around Christmas time......
