So, the other morning, Mierae displayed her memory talents to us. She had been pouring out a box of cereal onto the kitchen table and I yelled at her to stop without thinking of how loud it had come out of my mouth. Jolie was in her high chair and grabbed the bib next to her, one with a ghost on it from Halloween, and started playing with it. Mierae looked over and saw that Jolie was playing with her bib, and she yelled, "Jolie!!! That's my Holy Ghost!!!"

1st Article of Faith
We have just started doing morning devotionals in our family. We sing a Primary song, have family prayer, and "read scriptures," or try to recite something for Mierae to learn. We decided to start with the Articles of Faith and concentrate on one a week and see how much Mierae could remember. We worked on the 1st Article of Faith, getting down the first part to "Eternal Father." Mierae had that one down pretty well after a few days, so I ventured further and taught her the rest. She already knows "Jesus Christ," and she remembered "Holy Ghost" really well since it's at the end. I am so proud of her for learning so well!

That's so cute! Aww, I'm so excited to see you guys!
Morning devotionals...that sounds like such a good idea! We do that at night, but the kids are so hyper by then that it's sometimes very difficult to get them to listen and we wonder if anything is sinking in at all. Thanks for the good idea! :)
